Abstract
PURPOSE:To correct a landing error and obtain a color picture tube with good color purity by restricting the exposure area using a screen plate with a long open hole in the direction of Y axis, synchronizing with the transfer of the exposure area, and moving a light source in the axial direction of the color picture tube. CONSTITUTION:Synchronizing with the transfer of a screen plate 14 with a long open hole in the direction of Y axis, a light source 1' moving up and down in the axial direction of a color picture tube is placed at the position corresponding to the center of deflection. A photosensitive film 5 coated on the inner surface of a panel 3' is exposed through a correction lens 2 which matches the light emitted from the light source 1' with the final trace of the deflected electron beam of the color picture tube and the open hole of a shadow mask 4 mounted on a panel 3. Besides, the screen plate 14 is made to reciprocate in the X direction through the mounting stand of a plate cam 16 and a post 15, by combining a reciprocatly rotating motor 17 with a rack and pinion 18, and subsequently a light source support axis 19 is moved up and down along the convex section of the plate cam 16.
