Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a necessary number of beams with a half number of beam terminals, by dividing the input microwave into two parts for a change-over connection. CONSTITUTION:When the beam terminal Ci(i: an odd number) is fed, the input terminal K1 is connected to the output terminal I(i+1)/2 at the switching circuit 4A. Then the input terminal K2 is connected to the output terminal J(i+1)/2 at the switching circuit 4B. The input microwave signals passing through the circuit 4A have a phase delayed by 90 deg. by the 2-division circuit L; and those passing through the circuit 4B have a phase delayed by 90 deg. by the connecting circuit Hi. Accordingly both signals are compounded together in the same phase. In case when the beam terminals Ci and Ci+2 are fed, the terminal K1 is connected to the terminal I(i+1)/2 at the circuit 4A. Then the terminal K2 is connected to the terminal J(i+3)/2 at the circuit 4B.
