Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the dust collection rate of an electric dust collector by enabling applied voltage and current to be regulated by selecting the distance between a mobile discharge electrode and a dust collecting electrode and also between the discharge electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: For a corona current-dominating type dust collector, an ionizing part is made up of discharge electrodes alone, a desired number of discharge electrodes 2 are provided in parallel through a stem 3 between supporting frames 4 and 4', and a variable regulating lever 5 is attached to the stem 3. Since the electrodes 2 are freely turned by the lever 5, the distance between the discharge electrodes 2 and the upper and lower dust collecting electrodes and also between the discharge electrodes 2 can be optimumly regulated by adjusting the turning angle of the electrodes 2 to optimum condition. For an ionizing field type dust collector, the ionizing part and the electric field part are made up of the discharge electrodes and the discharge electrodes 2 and 2' for the ionizing part and the electric field part are attached to respective variable regulating levers 5 and 5'.
