In order to match the characteristic impedance of power source including the cable which connects resistor R at the operational center frequency of element 14 and converter 11 with power source, transformer 12 is attached. Thus, the maximum power can be applied between the power source and TRD and the reflected signal converted electrically with ultrasonic wave TRD can be transferred without distortion.
