Abstract
1496067 Broad-band delay lines LIGNES TELEGRAPHIQUES ET TELEPHONIQUES 15 Jan 1975 1806/75 Heading H3U [Also in Division H1] In a broad-band delay line, an input transducer 4 at one end of delay medium 1 (e.g. corundum) is tuned to a different acoustic frequency from its corresponding output transducer (not shown) at the other end, and each transducer is connected to a respective impedance 12, e.g. an inductance 20, to constitute a series resonant circuit having a resonant frequency which is different for each transducer/impedance combination and is different from the acoustic frequencies of the individual transducers. As shown, there are three input/output transducer pairs, the input transducers 4, 5, 6 being connected in parallel between input 16 and ground plane 15, and being connected to respective inductors 12, 13, 14 by strips 7<SP>1</SP> which may be resistive. The transducers comprise electrodes on a piezoelectric film, e.g. zinc oxide, or an alumina substrate 11. A microstrip line 10 on the substrate interconnects the input 16 and the transducers, pans 17, 18 of the line constituting capacitors.
