Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption keeping the lighting output unchanged by sealing a rare gas mixture with a pressure of specific range the weighted mean atomic weight to the inner diameter of the tube of which gas mixture is in a specific range in the straight tube with a small inner diameter. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 3 are provided on the ends of a glass tube 1 with inner diameter of 23mm.-26mm. on the inner surface of which a fluorescent layer 2 is coated, spaced with a distance of 486mm.-512mm., and connected electrically through caps 4 to outsides. Thus the conductivity of the lamp is increased in lighting because of the large atomic weight of the sealed gas, the lamp power is reduced, and the power consumption is reduced without the decrease in the lighting output even with a smaller diameter of the tube.
