Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the nonuniformity of input characteristics due to the stray capacitance of wiring by transmitting the output signals of the low speed charge transfer devices of pural systems through buffer circuits with low impedance installed near the devices and inputting them to the specified bit of high speed charge transfer devices. CONSTITUTION:On the output side of a low speed charge transfer device (CTD) 201 for integration, a source follower circuit S consisting of insulated-gate field-effect transistors 21 and 22 is prepared as a buffer circuit. The amount of signal charges proportional to the amplitude of an input voltage generated by the potential balancing method in a circuit U by applying the output of the circuit S to the input circuit U is inputted to the specified bit of a CTD 400a for parallel-series conversion. Therefore, if the distances between the CTDs for integration and circuits S attached to each of them are all made equal and the output impedance of the circuits S is confined to several tens of kiloohms or less, the same output voltages can be output corresponding to the same level input voltages regardless of differences in the lengths of connecting wires between the ciruits S and the CTDs for conversion.
