Abstract
PURPOSE: To make productivity and strength compatible with each other by forming projections projected in the axial direction on the outer-peripheral surface of a core, by making the projections cut into the inner-peripheral surface of a pulley and by making a part swollen inwardly from the inner-peripheral surface of the pulley by plastic deformation pressed on both sides of the projections.
CONSTITUTION: The core 15 is prepared by forming a magnetic steel plate into a ring having a nearly U-shaped cross section by press working or cold forging and later by cutting the friction surface 15a and inner-peripheral surface 15b thereof. Moreover, on the outer-peripheral surface 15c, the projections 15d formed of top flat surfaces 15e and slant surfaces (f) on both sides thereof are formed in the axial direction. Meanwhile, the pulley 14 is formed of a substance having smaller deformation resistance than the core 15 by press working and put on the outer periphery of the core 15. When the pulley is put on the core, the projections 15d cut into the inner-peripheral surface of the pulley 14, thereby the pulley 14 is deformed plastically, thus the swollen parts 14b swollen inwardly from the inner-peripheral surface 14a are formed, and the swollen parts 14b are made pressed on the slant surfaces 15f of the projections 15d and thus connected firmly.
