Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain PC in which the result of processing of the user program processing unit is used as the external output data and the result of processing of other unit is used as external output data when this unit is judged as a failure. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd user programming units 4, 7 are independently operated and execute the user program according to the program of inidividual memories 5 and 8. As a result, the failure diagnosis data of itself and external input and output data are formed and they are transmitted to an input and output processing unit 10 via interfaces 8, 9 and 12. If a fialure is detected in the data, another user program processing unit is used, allowing to constitute PC which need not to know the switching of hardware at the production of failure of the said unit.
