Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable recording to be performed by means of a semiconductor laser of low output and infrared wavelength by changing over charging polarity at the original image exposure time and the beam exposure time. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor of which the spectral characteristics differ at the positive charging time 9 and negative charging time 10 such as As2Se3 is used. At the original exposure time, copying is performed by positive charging and visible light lighting, and at the digital signal recording, copying is performed by negative charging and a semiconductor laser of infrared ray output. At the charging voltage changing-over time, the developing bias polarity and the voltage are changed and reversal development is carried out, whereby the copying of a positive original and the beam recording of a negative is performed with the same toner (negative polarity).
