Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate operating check, by supplying photopulse externally through the use of optical fiber for the photodetection plane of a photoelectric converter in a radiant ray detector and comparing the number of optical pulses measured at the measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A radiant ray detector 12 is located in an atmosphere without radiant rays, and then the output of a pulse generator 11-1 is given to a counter 11-3 and a light emitting element 11-4. The light emitting element 11-4 converts a given pulse to light, this light passes through the optical fiber 14 and is given to the photoelectric plane of a radiant ray detector 12 and displayed on a display section 13-1. In this case, the content of the counter 13-1 and the content of display of a measuring device 13 are equal, but if the content of the both is different, this shows that there is any failure in a radiant ray measuring device 10, allowing to check the operating state of the device 10.
