Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a standard test piece for fluorescent radiation analysis having an effect equivalent to the alloy without requiring any special alloy by radially dividing the surface of a rotary disc into a plurality of arc-sectors in such a manner that the ratio between the vertical angles of the arc-sectors and the quality of material of each sector correspond to the ratio between the contents of metals in the test piece and the quality of each metal. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a disc with a proper diameter, for example, 3-4cm is divided radially according to the number of component metal elements to form a plurality of sectors. At the same time, it is so arranged that the ratio between vertical angles of the sectors is equal to that between the contents of the component metal elements while the quality of material of each section corresponds to that of each metal. This disc is rotated at a proper frequency, for example, 100-1,000rpm. After that, if X-rays are irradiated on the disc, this yields the same effect as could be obtained when X-rays are done on the alloy containing each component metal element at the same ratio. Accordingly, it is possible to obtain the standard test piece for fluorescent radiation analysis with ease without producing any alloy from the component metal elements.
