Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover the evaporated fuel within the reservoir rapidly and improve the re-starting efficiency of the engine by an arrangement wherein the fuel reservoir is formed at the outer periphery of the float chamber in the carburetter to cool the chamber and the return pipe for fuel vapor interconnects to the reservoir and the fuel tank.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel reservoir 6 is formed at the outer periphery of a float chamber 4 in a carburetter 15, and the reservoir 6 and the bottom of a fuel tank 1 are interconnected to each other by a fuel pipe 2 including a fuel supply pump 3. Then, the upper portion of the reservoir 6 and the upper portion of the tank 1 are interconnected to each other by a fuel vapor return pipe 8 including a condenser 10 so as to condense the evaporated fuel within the reservoir 6 and recover it into the tank 1. The upper portion of the tank 1 is also in communication with the down stream of the carburetter 15, so that the evaporated fuel within the tank 1 is adsorbed by a device 12 and thus adsorbed fuel is introduced into the engine.
