Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to control air-fuel ratio at a proper value at the time of warming engine after starting the same, by using an engine-warming simulator for determining the fuel increasing rate during engine warming operation.
CONSTITUTION: In starting engine, switch 15 is turned ON and current is supplied to electronic circuit 17. At the same time, current is supplied also to PTC 13 in an engine-warming simulator 18 via lead wire 19, so that PTC 13 is heated. Through the heating of PTC 13, thermistor 11 is heated resultantly, and as the temperature of thermistor 11 is raised, fuel increasing rate required for warming engine is varied. Here, change in the fuel increasing rate at the time of warming engine can be designed to meet required engine characteristics through control of heat produced by PTC 13.
