Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent color picture by preventing color shading and color errors by mixing a detection output of the high-band component of a luminance signal with a color signal and then by equalizing the rise and fall of it to those of the luminance signal.
CONSTITUTION: A luminance signal from video amplifier circuit 9 is applied to high-frequency component detection circuit 14, which puts the secondary differentiation of the luminance signal into effect to extract the high-frequency component, which is applied to color-difference signal modulation circuit 13. Further, this modulation circuit 13 is applied with color-difference signals R-Y and B-Y demodulated by color demodulation circuit 10 to mix the high-frequency component of the luminance signal with color-difference signals R-Y and B-Y, which are nearly equalized in rise and fall to those of the luminance signal and supplied to matrix circuit 11 to prevent the occurrence of color shading and color errors, thereby projecting an excellent color picture on CRT12.
