Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce greatly a load on a navigating body by sending a pickup signal from the navigating body while changing visual fields by a command signal from a reception side, and then by converting it into an image through the canceling process of pattern noise at the reception side.
CONSTITUTION: Navigating body 1, equipped with pickup unit 2 functioning as an optical system, photoelectric converter and shift register, a commond signal receiver circuit, and visual-field switching unit, transmits a pickup modulated signal incuding fixed pattern noise. At the reception side, receiver circuit system 4 demodulates the received signal and then sends it to arithmetic circuit 7 by way of alternation switch 5. This switch 5 sends a signal derivd from an observation object to circuit 7 while sending that derived from a reference light source to memory ciruit 6. Circuit 7 normalizes a signal derived from the ground by the reference signal of circuit 6 to remove fixed pattern noise. The processed signal is converted by D/A converter 8 into an analog signal, which draws an infrared-ray image by display unit 10 by way of amplifier 9. The generated signal of transmitter circuit system 11 commands that the visual field of unit 2 is changed over to the reference light source.
