Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent an evaporating wick from contamination by tar material by providing a steam generating wick near an evaporating wick.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel is sucked to an evaporating wick 4 and the radiant heat from a flame formed in a combustion chamber 3 is applied as evaporative latent heat. The fuel is carried by the air supplied from air holes 2a provided on the side wall of an evaporating chamber 2 from an evaporating chamber and is burned in the combustion chamber 3. On the other hand, steam is generated near the evaporation wick and carried away with fuel gas. When the sum of the vapor pressure of the fuel and the steam pressure becomes equal to the boiling vapor pressure of the fuel in the evaporating chamber 2, the fuel is brought into a boiling state and evaporative reaction is conducted in a low temperature zone. The fuel is prevented remarkably from changing into tar material on the surface or in the inner part of the evaporating wick 4 and hindrance of the fuel from evaporating can be avoided.
