Abstract
PURPOSE:To constitute an equalizing unit cheaply by inserting a transversal filter part to the IF band and by inserting a detection part to the base band in the equalizing unit which equalizes automatically the linear waveform distortion such as ghost adaptively. CONSTITUTION:An inputted IF signal is demodulated to a base band signal in a demodulator by a carrier signal which has the phase controlled by carier phase control circuit 49, and this base band signal is clamped by clamp circuit 54 and is inputted to comparator circuit 55. This signal is compared with the reference waveform of a test signal in circuit 55 to control taps of delay lines 42 and 44 through shift register 57 and memory 60. Circuit 49 detects phase slippage on a basis of the signal of memory 60 to control the phase. Thus, the IF band can be automatically equalized as it is without conversion to the base band signal, so that degradation of quality can be prevented, and the unit can be constituted cheaply.
