Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a diagnostic agent which is hard to be discharged into urine, by bringing an aqueous solution of a 99mTc compound into contact with a carrier obtained by dissolving salicylaldehyde, a prescribed α-amino acid and a stannite in water.
CONSTITUTION: Salicylaldehyde or a derivative such as 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde, which does not have a hydrophilic functional group except for a formyl group and a hydroxyl group which are the constituents of the salicylaldehyde, an α-amino acid such as phenylalanine, which does not have a hydrophilic side chain except for a carboxyl group and an amino group which are the constituents of the amino acid, and a stannite such as stannous chloride are dissolved in water so that a non-radioactive carrier is obtained. A physiological soline solution containing a pertechnetate of 99mTc such as sodium pertechnetate is mixed with the non-radio-active carrier. The mixture is left at room temperature, thereby producing a diagnosing agent.
