Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify a structure and also to reduce a cost and enable an easy maintenance and management, by locating outside an intake disc a toroidal float wherein a substantial machanism portion of an intake device is installed.
CONSTITUTION: Surface hot water is sucked through a portion provided between a float 2 floating on a water surface 1 and an intake disc 3, said water being flown through each unit intake pipe 4. The float 2 and a toroidal float 15 float up and down at the same level to the flactuation in a water storage volume, and also float monolithically through the medium of support pipes 17 and 19. A deck plate 9, the intake disc 3, and the intake piper 4 move up and down monolithically through the medium of worm levers 22. During said movement, the intake pipes 4 perform a telescopic motion through the working of rollers 30 followed by the vertical movement of the intake disc 3. In the case of an intake volume being controlled during operation, the intake disc 3 is moved vertically against the deck plate 9 by turning the worm levers 22 by means of geared motors 25, whereby the intake disc 3 moves in proximity to and away from the float 2.
