Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the production of noises and eliminate the radio wave interfere, by forming apertures of cylindrical magnetic poles, for directing magnetic flux from permanent magnets to the cathode structure, provided at the opposite ends of the anode structure so that there is a particular difference between the aperture angles.
CONSTITUTION: A cathode structure 2 is disposed in the central portion of a cylindrical member 1 constituting an anode, and at the opposite ends of the cylindrical member 1 there are provided magnetic poles 4 having trapezoidal shape in cross- section, and also provided adjacent the magnetic poles 4 are permanent magnets 7 consisting of ferrite to direct magnetic flux to the magnetic poles 4 via focusing rings 8. The magnetic poles 4 comprise a magnetic pole 14 having an aperture angle θ1=105° disposed at the upper end of the cylindrical member 1 and a magnetic pole 15 having an aperture angle θ2=75° at the lower end of the cylindrical member 1 so that there is difference of 30° between the two aperture angles. Thus, the axial magnetic field of the magnetic poles 14, 15 can be made large so that the production of noises in 2GHz band, which is the dominant wave band, can be suppressed and the radio wave interfere can be elminated.
