Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance a recovery rate of monomers of polycaproamide and to enable to extend life time of a reverse osmosis membrane by separating a refined waste solution of polycaproamide chips by a reverse osmosis membrane method into a concentrated solution and a permeate.
CONSTITUTION: Polycaproamide chips are refined by warm water to extract monomers and an obtained refined waste solutin containing monomers is cooled, and thereafter generated precipitate is filtered. By this cooling, oligomer is mainly precipitated and recovered by filtering. Subsequently, the filtrate is pressurized, e.g., to above 20kg/cm2 by a final pump and reached to a cncentrating apparatus by a reverse osmosis membrane to separate to a concentrated solution and a permeate. A concentrated solution is concentrated to about 80W95% of a lactam concentration by a concentrating apparatus e.g. a double walled kettle and, moreover, supplied to a distillation and refining apparatus or the like to recover. On the other hand, the permeate is again reused in a refining process of polycaproamide chips.
