Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate a drive motor for an exhaust fan efficiently under the various conditions of the working of end dampers by a method wherein branch ducts with individual end dampers to a plurality of dust forming sources are connected to the exhaust fan through a main duct.
CONSTITUTION: A location of opening set is detected by means of a limit switch, etc. by the working signals of the combination of the working conditions, which are beforehand decided, of end dampers 2a, 2b... and the opening of a main damper 4 is controlled in response to the variation of the quantity of winds necessary for collecting dust by the formation of dust of each dust forming source 1a, 1b.... A dust collector is efficiently operated by minimizing the pressure loss of a main duct 5 by sucking only the quantity of winds needed. The frequency of the starting of a motor 7 is limited so that the temperature rise of the motor 7 in the case when the end dampers are fully admitted become not more than allowable temperature rise, and operation is suspended when the temperature value rises to value more than fixed value.
