Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve response in small load fluctuation and perform stable control in large load fluctuation, by altering the gain of a system for controlling the degree of opening of a turbine regulating valve, depending on the difference between the real degree of opening of the regulating valve and a setpoint.
CONSTITUTION: A main stream pressure set point is a function of a signal from a load instruction unit (MWD) 1. The signal is stored in an analogue memory 9. A function generator 5 makes a pressure set point as to the signal stored in the memory 9. A setpoin for the degree of opening of a turbine regulating valve is also a function of a signal from the load instruction unit. The difference between the opening degree set point and the real degree of opening of the valve is detected to compensate the main pressure set point by the output of a (P+I) calculator 8. A multiplier 12 changes the difference input to another (P+I) calculator 14 by the output of a rate limiter 13. When the output of the limiter is small, the gain of the multiplier 12 is reduced to decrease the gain of a turbine regulating valve control loop.
