Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve response properties and stability by a method wherein a twelve phase transformer is connected to thyristor rectifying circuits for positive currents and negative currents while pulse phase shifters for controlling each thyristor are provided with bias voltage.
CONSTITUTION: Six phase every 60° phase is connected to a six phase half-wave thyristor rectifying circuit 32 for positive currents and remaining six phase, which phase each shifts at the angles of 30° to the six phase, to a six phase half-wave thyristor rectifying circuit 33 for negative currents among output at the secondary side of a twelve phase transformer 31 with a neutral point. Each thyristor is controlled by means of a pulse phase shifter 35 for positive currents and a pulse phase shifter 36 for netative currents to which input sides bias voltage α for overlap currents is each applied while the output of a tachometer generator 10 is fed back through speed reference voltage and an error amplifier 37. Thus, response properties and stability can be improved because overlap currents can be let flow through a motor M at every 30° phase.
