Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance milling performance of a ball mill by classfying a charge cement powder in advance and lowering its temperature. CONSTITUTION:At the outlet of a ball mill 1 is provided a fluidized bed device 3 as a cooler-classifier for a cement powder. As classifier(s) for further classification, one or more fluidized bed devices 13 are arranged on the downstream side of the device 3. The cement powder is passed through the multi-stage device for separation of fine powder, and the resulting coarse powder is returned to the ball mill 1. Further, to adjust the grain size of that portion of the particulate material in the classifier-cooler fluidized bed which is refluxed to the ball mill, fluidized bed device discharge pipes 7 are fitted therein respectively with feeders 12 and 14 capable of controlling flow rate.
