Abstract

PURPOSE:To make attenuation possible without degradation of quality by comparing digital signals from an attenuator with input digital signals and by outputting a digital signal corresponding to difference between both signals. CONSTITUTION:The DC voltage from attenuator 11 is converted to a digital quantity by A/D converter 13 and is compared with input digital signals from input terminal 10 in amplitude by digital comparator 14. In case that input digital signals are larger than the digital signal from attenuator 11, the output from comparator 14 becomes 1, and a signal corresponding to difference between the digital signal and the digital signal from attenuator 11 is outputted to output terminal 17. Otherwise, in case that input digital signals are smaller than the digital signal from attenuator 11, output data of 0...0 formed inside data selector 16 is transmitted to terminal 17.
