Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve spurious characteristics by providing two mutually-independent electrodes on one surface of a piezoelectric element plate and then by providing a folded electrode which is provided on the other surface and extended to one surface. CONSTITUTION:Of one main surface of rectangular-plate piezoelectric element 23 providing contour vibration, dot electrode 24 is provided in the center, and split ring electrode 25 at the circumference. On the other entire surface of element 23, electrode 26 is provided and extended to folded electrode 26 on one main surface. Of folded electrode 27, corresponding sections provided on both main surfaces are connected together via notches 34 made at the same position. Folded electrode 27 attenuates the main part of vibration to improve spurious characteristics. Consequently, a piezoelectric device of single-line type package structure making conductive the electrode and external lead-out terminal of the piezoelectric element on one surface side can be obtained.
