Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain anti-liquid-leakage for a long time in such a way that spaces are provided at cuffed parts installed at peripheral ends of a cathode casing, these spaces are welded by vitreous insulating material. CONSTITUTION:Anode live material 6 is housed in an anode casing 2, whereupon cathode live material 5 filled in a cathode casing 1 is provided through a separator 8, electrolytic holding membrane 7. Resin packing 3 is interposed between these both casings 1, 2, which is sealed, and formed into a button type alkali battery. In case of sealing, cuffed parts installed at the cathode casing 1 are not adhered to the cathode casing 1 to form spaces, these spatial parts are heated and welded with vitreous insulating material 4. In addition, it is compatible to form viscous liquid sealed layer on the surface of the resin packing 3.
