Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily and inexpensively lay such long-sized objects as a submarine cable or the like under bedrock zone of above 50 of N-value at the bottom of the water.
CONSTITUTION: For the purpose of laying a long-sized object into groove dug out on the hard or rocky water bottom, boulders, sedimentary layers or the like existing on the bottom surface are removed with water jet as indicated with 102, 104 and 202, while plurality of narrow trenches are excavated with plurality of disc cutters 101 on the hard soil or rocks over the bottom of the water and thereafter, a linear trench for the long sized object is excavated with a rock breaker 2 simultaneously with removing mucks thereof by the aid of an ejector or a sand pump 3. And finally, the long-sized objects are laid in position.
