Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The reaction between (A) iminodiacetic acid or its salt, (B) polyaminopolythioic acid having at least one active hydrogen atom bonding to nitrogen atom as N-(thiocarboxy)ethylenediamine or its alkali or alkaline earth metal salt and (C) aldehyde as formaldehyde and/or phenol as phenol or resorcinol is carried out preferably in a solvent as water or alcohol at 20-60 deg.C at 1-4hr. The reaction product is formed into films, which is cured by heating preferably at 80-120 deg.C for 3-5hr.
