Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously roll shape section bars and plates at high efficiency by advancing the work between the rotary head disposed radially with plural small- diameter rolls or small balls rotatably and a working die.
CONSTITUTION: The work 5 is inserted between a working die 13 and a working head 12 and is advanced in the arrow 6 direction. At the same time, while the working head 12 is being driven by a motor to rotate in the direction of an arrow 14, the small diameter rolls 15 provided radially to the head 12 are pressure-contacted to the work 5. While the work 5 is advancing, it is rolled to the inner side toward the working die 13 at the dotted-line shaded part 24 and it is rolled to the outer edge 25 side in the solid-line-shaded part 23. Here, the center of rotation of the working head 12 is provided to the both outer edge positions 25 of the work 5 after rolling. A convex flight part 20 is formed in the central part of the work 5 by the groove 22 and tapered part 18 of the working die 13 and the portion between the convex part 20 and outside edge 25 is worked thin and is further finished by the top plane part 19. Here, it is also possible to use small balls inplace of the small- diameter rolls 15.
