Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title catalyst of a low reaction temp. simply produced from an aq. soln. contg. a restricted amt. of iron ions besides various metal ions. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. contg. various metal ions such as Fe, Zn, Ni, Cr, Al, Mn, Cu, Mg, Na and K ions is adjusted so that the total amt. of iron ions contained becomes more than 4 times as much as the total amt. of metal ions other than Fe ion, and the amt. if ferric ion becomes 1-3 times as much as the amt. of ferrous ion. Alkali is added to this adjusted soln. to regulate the pH value to about 12, thus forming precipitates, which are then dried to give an NH3 reduction system dry catalyst for removing NOX.
