Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the location of rotation exactly without the affection of a change of the rotation speed by arranging electrodes in both plates of the rotary and fixed sides at regular intervals and by detecting the phase shift of resonance of the LC resonance circuit composed of the said plates.
CONSTITUTION: The electrodes are arranged in the rotary plate 150, which turns together with the rotary body, and the fixed plate 140 at regular intervals respectively, the resonance frequency of the LC resonance circuit 330 composed of the capacitor and coil which are formed by the electrodes 141, 151 is made agree with the fundamental frequency when a half of the electrodes 151 corresponds to that of the electrodes 141. When the electrodes of both plates correspond to each other completely, the electrostatic capacity of the capacitor 332 formed by the electrodes of both plates becomes maximal and vice versa. Accordingly since the phase shift develops in the output of the LC resonance circuit 330 in turn with the rotation of the rotary electrodes 151, a detection signal can be obtained by logically operating them with the signal of the fundamental frequency.
