Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover an equipment under the deep sea by using a buoy for deep sea having a mechanism wherein explosive is ignited within the buoy by ultrasonic wave, etc. buoyancy is obtained as the water inside the buoy is expelled by the force of the gaseous expansion, giving buoyancy to the buoy, and a valve is prepared to work so that pressure may be kept in equilibrium when the buoy comes up to the surface.
CONSTITUTION: A piston 3 with an O ring 8 is set at a thin wall cylindrical buoy 1, a receiver 2 for ultrasonic waves, etc. is provided on the top of the buoy and signals are received from a mother ship on the sea. The received signals are introduced into an ignition circuit 11 on the lower part and when an ignition plug 13 is operated the explosive in the powder chamber 12 explodes and produces high pressure gas. The high pressure gas 13 is filled in the chamber 19, the piston 3 moves downward, the water in the cylinder is expelled out of the buoy body 1 giving buoyancy thereto, and the buoy is brought to the surface together with the equipment 5. As they rise, a pressure control valve 6 is operated because the pressure in the internal space of the buoy 1 keep in equiribrium with pressure of the external water and the gas in the buoy 1 is released.
