Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the smooth and automatic leading of the magnetic tape in a simple way out of the cassette by providing the 2nd motor or the like in addition to the normal components of the reproducer and thus giving the reciprocating motion to the lead-out component by the 2nd motor and via the operation of the clutch means. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic head 214 is located at the position apart from cassette 20. And the recorder/reproducer is constituted with the following components: tape lead-out components 176 and 178 which reciprocate between the 1st position to be fitted onto the back side of magnetic tape 26 within cassette 20 and the 2nd position where the contact is secured to head 214; the transfer means which gives the reciprocating motion to components 176 and 178; pinch roller 192 which drives tape 26 lead out of cassette 20 in the fixed speed; capstan 190; motor 188 which drives capstan 190; a pair of reel stages 16 and 18; idler 84 which is driven by motor 86 which can turn both forward and backward and shifted to touch either one of stages 16 and 18; and the clutch means which transmits selectively the rotary driving force of motor 86 to the transfer means. In such constitution, another motor is not required to lead out tape 26, thus realizing a compact structure for the device along with reduction of the cost.
