Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the system capacity of apparatus and the dose irradiated with radiation by providing a member, decreasing the sectional area of flow passage of treated water, in parallel with a tube axis within a porous filter.
CONSTITUTION: In a waste liquid treating apparatus of an atomic power plant, a nuclear fuel reprocessing in stitution, etc., a rod 6 mode of SUS having uniform diameter is inserted in the direction of axis into the porous tube filter 4 of a filter main body in such a manner that the rod is not contacted directly with the filter 4. Since circulating water containing suspended clads and flowing into the porous tube filter 4 at constant velocity is passed through the filter having the decreased sectional area, flow velocity is speeded up and flow rate is reduced. The clad removing rate is enhanced by the increased flow velocity. As a residence amount of water within the filter is reduced in proportion to the sectional area of flow passage, the dose irradiated with radiation can greatly be reduced.
