Abstract

PURPOSE:To anneal an aluminum wire continuously and effectively by always forming a closed loop while contacting both aluminum wires circulating round a roll having a V-form groove and by heating the wire with an induction current. CONSTITUTION:Closed loop 4 is formed with upper side sheave 3 and lower side sheave 4, and loop 4 is pierced through current transformer 5 to generate an induction current. This current is regulated with slide transformer 6 at the primary side of transformer 5 to adjust the heating temp. to a desired annealing temp., thereby continuoulsy annealing running aluminum wire 1. At this time, as sheave 2 grooved roll 7 having V-form groove 8 is used, and aluminum wire I1 entering groove 8 and aluminum wire I2 leaving it are contacted directly to form loop 4. As a result, even if there are thin oxide films on the surfaces of wires I1, I2, conducting state is held by the mechanical friction of them to effectively heat wire 1. The angle theta between both side walls 9, 9 of groove 8 is pref. set to 50-70 deg.C.
