Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the frequency response of photo electric element, by control in response to the output voltage of photo electric element for the charge storage time of charge storage type photo electric element array.
CONSTITUTION: The output voltage of the charge storage element 100 performing photo-electric conversion is compared for the average value with the reference voltage 600a, and inputted to the error detection circuit 600 outputting the voltage of difference. The difference voltage outputted from the error detection circuit 600 is made to the frequency F with the V-F converter 700 performing frequency conversion exponentially to the input voltage. Since the charge storage time is controlled for the photo electric element with the frequency F, the amplitude of AC output of the pick up circuit 400 can almost be kept constant. Further, since the characteristics of this control system is exponential, the response characteristics can be determined independently of the frequency and the response can be kept constant.
