Abstract
PURPOSE:To make laser rod heat distortion conditions constant by providing two system circuits for synchronizing or asynchronizing the timing of pulse-exciting a laser rod and the timing of increasing Q of a resonator. CONSTITUTION:DC power supply 6 is applied to an excitation lamp 3 through discharge stabilization resister 7 and at the same time, the said lamp 3 is always caused to be discharged in the form of microcurrent by the action of trigger electrode 12. Discharge control switching element 8 is turned on before the reflective surface of rotary resonant mirror 5 is opposed to that of fixed reflective mirror 4. The preaccumulated electric charge of charging/discharging capacitor 10 is used for the luminescence of the excitation lamp 3. When pulse generation is stopped, common contact point 21 and contact point 20b are connected by changing over switch 19. At that time, during luminescence, the rotary reflective mirror 5 is no longer opposed to the fixed reflective mirror 5, causing laser oscillation to be discontinued.
