Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote the cooling, etc., at treating the powdery slag, and to prevent the defect like as adhesion onto the piping, etc., by installing plural pyramid, etc., type discharge ports at the bottom of vessel, and by arranging the blower for supplying pressure air or sucking air from this discharge port.
CONSTITUTION: The molten slag from the blast furnace, etc., is introduced into the air-pulverizing hood 1 whose bottom is provided with plural parallel and continuous pyramid or cone type discharge ports 1a; the valves 7, 9, 10, are closed; the pressure air is blown into the hood 1 by the blower 15 in common use of blowing and sucking, through the pipe 5 and branch 2a; this air promotes the cooling and solidification, and then, the powdery slag 3 is formed. Next, the valves 7, 9, 10, are open, and valves 8, 11, are closed, and then, the powdery slag 3 is transported by the blower 13 through the pipes 2, 6 to the cyclone 12, and is collected and discharged. According to this method, the clogging of inner surface of piping by the powdery slag due to hith temperature or the faulure of the blower 13, etc., like as the conventional method are dissolved, so that the powdery material 3 can be easily treated.
