Abstract
PURPOSE:To readily and surely confirm the spot radiation position and enable high- precision laser working by detecting the irregularly reflected light of invisible laser light by the work in the laser device using invisible laser light for thermal working. CONSTITUTION:A concave reflecting mirror 2 and a plane output mirror 3 are disposed at both ends of a laser tube 1 in which laser medium has been sealed to constitute a light resonator. Discharge is caused in the laser tube 1 by a DC power source 4 for exciting discharge, whereby inversion distribution is caused in the laser medium. The invisible laser output light 8 of this time is used as a light source for thermal working such as welding or cutting and the state of the work 11 during working is projected on a monitor television 13 by a television camera 12. When the spot of small-output invisible laser light 8 of the extent of not giving any thermal effect is radiated beforehand to the work 11 prior to the working, this is irregularly reflected 15 in the radiation position 14. If this is detected with an infrered ray detector 16, the irregular reflection position, i.e., radiation position 14, may be confirmed.
