PROCESS:Carboxymethyl-(1,3)-beta-D-glucan, obtained by the action of a carboxymethylating agent on (1,3)-beta-D-glucan having an average polymerization degree of 5-1,000, is reacted with an alpha-amino acid or a dipeptide (ester) consisting thereof to give the objective compound of the formula.
