Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure better brake locking action and thus to improve safety factor for operation during parking of special type automobiles by arranging a brake locking solenoid valve in a relay valve operating compressed air passage.
CONSTITUTION: A brake locking solenoid valve 12 is provided additionally to a normally operating brake system 1 consisting of air tank 2, brake valve 3, relay valve 4, brake chamber 5 and brake lever 6. The solenoid valve 12 is arranged in a relay valve operating compressed air passage 7, and a series circuit with an operation switch 13 to close at the time of engine operation, a brake lock operating switch 14 to close at the time of brake locking and a side brake switch 15 to close at the time of side brake operation is connected thereto. The solenoid valve 12 is thus energized when the switches 13W15 are all closed and closes the passage 7 to retain a high pressure in a secondary side relay valve operating compressed air passage 7b.
