Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a vehicle theft by a system wherein an alarm is issued for a suitable period of time to urge a driver's locking when a door is opened without locking a steering wheel, and an alarm is also issued when an engine is started by changing connection of wiring for ignition system and starting system of the engine without using a key.
CONSTITUTION: When a steering wheel is unlocked by inserting an ignition key in a key way, a steering switch 5 an a contact 6b for a door switch 6 are closed, a coil 7c of a relay 7 is energized, and thus a contact 7a is closed. A coil 8c of a relay 8 is then energized, and a contact 8a is closed. When a door is opened under the condition described above, the contact 6b is opened but the contacts 7a and 8a are kept closed, and an alarm 9 is actuated through the contact 6a to close when the door is closed and the contact 8a. The alarm comes to stop when the time passes a set point on a timer 10 or the contact 6a is opened by closing the door.
