Abstract

PURPOSE: To electrically change the grades of polygons by letting the impedance elements which determine the grades of the respective plural polygonal points for determining the characteristic curves of the output video signal levels for input image information be controllable impedance elements whose impedances change in response to the control signals.
CONSTITUTION: A polygonal line function generator 11 is constituted by operational amplifiers OP1WOP3, variable resistors VR1WVRBN, diodes D1WDn, P-FETQA1W AAB, N-FETQB1WQBn and amplifiers AM1WAMn and the P-FETQA1WQAn and N-FETQN1WQBn are used as controllable impedances. The voltage at the respective polygonal points are determined by regulating variable resistances VRB1WVRBn. The inclinations at the polygonal points are determined by the ratios between the resistance values of the P-FETQA1WQAn and the resistance values of the N- FETQB1WQBn but the resistance values change in the opposite directions with the change in the bias voltage to be applied to their bases and therefore by changing the bias levels the inclinations of the respective polygonal points change.
