CONSTITUTION:A magnetic material layer containing a magnetic powder (needle particles), such as gamma-Fe2O3 or CrO2, by about 20-80wt% based on the total layer, with a particle diameter of about 0.07-1mu; a binder of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, an epoxy resin, or the like; and as photosensitive substance, a photosolubilizable type substance such as o-quinonediazide, or a photoinsolubilizable type substance such as p-diazophenylamine derivatives is formed on a substrate made of polyester film or the like. With this magnetic recording medium a necessary pattern drawn original image is brought in close contact to expose and develop the medium, thus an image of high fidelity to the original image being obtained. When the photosolubilizable type photosensitive substance is used, the memory still has photosensitivity, permitting additional writing, and magnetic additional writing, too.
