Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily obtain the title polymer particles with good flowability useful as a colorant material and the like by a mechanism wherein, to the surface of a charged polymerizable monomer containing a resin which is liquid at a room temperature, an inorganic dispersant having opposite charge is bound ionically and, in this condition, a suspension polymerization is carried out.
CONSTITUTION: To the surface of a polymerizable monomer which contains a liquid resin such as polystyrene or the like and is cationically charged by adding a cationic polymerizable monomer and the like or anionically charged by adding an anionic polymerizable monomer, an inorganic dispersant having opposite charge is bound ionically. As an inorganic dispersant, an anionic colloidal silica, bentonite or the like and a cationic aluminum oxide or the like are preferably used. Subsequently, in this ionically bound condition, a suspension polymerization is carried out to obtain the title polymer particles.
