Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent photographing of undesired object located at close range in an extreme brightness, by restraining the light radiated to such object.
CONSTITUTION: While pressing the shutter button, a signal is fed to a terminal 13 to operate a pulse generator 14, and a pulse form infrared ray is emitted to the entire viewing field of photography from an infrared ray emitter 10. As a result, the lights reflected from each peripheral part of the viewing field of photography are received by photo detectors 6W9. The photo detectors 6W9 are disposed around the light emitting part 1, directed to each peripheral part of the viewing field of photography, and have sharp directivity. When the reflected light form an object at close range reaches a down-directed photo detector 8 within a specified time, the detection output of each photo detector is compared with the emission infrared ray pulse in each detection circuit 15W18, but the detection output is produced only in the detection circuit 17 connected to the photo detector 8. As a result, only a liquid crystal control circuit 21 is operated, and only a dimmer filter 4 in the front lower end part of the light emitting part 1 is changed to dimmer state.
