Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise dehydrating rate and solid recovery rate by the procedure in which unfiltered sludge liquor formed in the dehydration of inorganic (organic) moist sludge by a screw type press dehydrator is subjected to a sedimentation treatment to remove solids and then the solids are again recycled to dehydrator for rehydration.
CONSTITUTION: The washing header 1d is provided in hanged manner above the screen 1c covering the screw body 1b of the screw type press dehydrator 1, and the sludge-chraging hopper 1e is provided with the primary sludge supply pipe 1f on its one side and also with the dehydrated sludge discharge port 1g on the other side. Filtrate is stored in the receiving tank 2 through the pipe 11 and then sent to the sedimentation apparatus 4 by the pump 3 to sediment and remove solids which are, in turn, supplied to the hopper 1e by the exit pipe 4a with the discharge automatic control valve 5. The supernatant from the sedimentation apparatus 4 is sent to the storage tank 7 through the pipe 6 and then released to the outside through the pipe 8.
